I don't know about the rest of you reading but as I am looking at the places Ty and Christian are visiting I was curious about the history of these locations so I hope you don't mind if I share just what significance of these places are.. as well as the pictures of Ty and Christian.
Tiananmen Square- was the location of 7 weeks of protests in 1989 after the death of Hu Yaobang. The government eventually ended the protests by bringing an army complete with tanks and opened live fire on all protestors in the square. The exact number of deaths isn't known but they estimate somewhere between 1,000-3,000 people.

The Forbidden City was built between 1406-1420 and is 7,800,000 sq. feet. It was the house of the Chinese Imperial Palace from the Ming Dynasty through the Quing Dynasty (almost 500 years). It is the now the home of the Palace Museum.






So happy to SEE YOU in China!!!! It has only been two weeks home for me and yet seems so long ago already!!!
