Last day in Zhengzhou

Today was our last full day in Zhengzhou. We leave tomorrow for Guangzhou. Today is the last day of the Spring Festival, the last day they celebrate the Chinese New Year. Our guide told us there will be many people in the park and especially tonight shooting off fireworks and lighting lanterns. Not sure if we will head out tonight or not.

We walked down to the park today and the traffic is even crazier today. No crossing guards working today And more people out. The park was nice I'm sure its beautiful in the spring and summer. They say a lot of older people go there in the morning and do Tai Chi. There were lots of families and kids around. People were out in boats on the little lake. It was a nice day not very cold at all but smoggier (is that a word?) than yesterday its starting to get thicker the longer we are here. Fireworks are going off all the time and I guess tonight there will be lots most of the night.Can't wait to get on to the last stretch. Its been nice seeing what Zoie's hometown looks like and how the culture is. Makes me so grateful for what we have. We are so blessed.

 Zoie loved pushing the stroller around the park. Its pretty big and you can circle around the little lake. There are people fishing and just relaxing. I think they are all waiting for the festivities tonight. I'm not sure we will head out. We already got scolded shopping yesterday from some older chinese ladies for not having enough layers on Zoie. She unwrapped the blanket and squeezed her arm then started saying something to us. We smiled and walked on. When we came back up the street to head back to the hotel she started talking to us really loud making sure all around could hear. I told Tyler I think we just got scolded for not having enough layers on her. It was quite the experience. Tomorrow we will get Zoie's passport then head out. Zoie seems to be doing really well I could tell she was off a little this morning. When I went to get her breakfast I had to leave her at the table so she would start yelling when she couldn't see me. She shut down rigt after breakfast I think she was tired and knew something was different Baba was gone.We talked to him on Skype later this morning and she moved right up to the screen. She knew his voice and gave him knuckles to the screen.
Next time you hear from me I should be in Guangzhou. Can't wait...home stretch here we come.
