CA Confirmed

Our Consulate Appointment has been confirmed. We are leaving on February 9th. There is so much to do. Cleaning, freezing meals, packing, booking flights, gift buying, etc.

I'm starting to freak out a little but still it seems a while away. And then it will be here in no time I'm sure. I'm not sure what clothes to take for her or sizes for sure or if I should take a coat. I know she will come with one and I'm wondering if that will do until she gets home?

We've started telling the kids that we are going to be gone and Dad will be home sooner. Tyson is having a hard time with it. He's our 7 year old. I try not to talk too much about it because it gets upset but I want him to be prepared for when we leave. Its so hard leaving the kids. Tyson keeps asking can't you just take me with you. It breaks my heart. I've told him he will have so much fun that Grandma is coming to stay and then on the weekend they will be going to the other grandma's and they can play and go over to cousins houses and I hoping to have some fun things planned for them. President's Day is while I'll be gone so they can go to a movie or do something fun.

  1. Hi! Just came over from Sally's blog and wanted to introduce our family! We have a sweet daughter waiting in China, also born with DS. We are still awaiting TA, Article 5 was Dec. 20th!

  2. I just got all caught up on you guys, by reading all your posts! This process is about to make this mama crazy! Not sure why we don't have our TA yet, but we know it will eventually get here. I was commenting again to tell you that we made the decision just last week, that my hubby is going to do the traveling this time. The thought of leaving our kids for 2 whole weeks was really hard for us, too. I feel alot better, now that we have decided, but know that those two weeks my hubby has with Gracie will be killing me! Thankful for Skype, though! It's nice to know others struggle with leaving the others behind.... I think some think we are crazy for the way we are doing things, but I know how capable my hubby is, and have complete trust that he will do great with Gracie in China!
